Yay! More posts about how I'm such a hypocrite!

*whew* again. Confessions:
1. I staightened my hair. I have a new ethos: nothing wrong with straightening your hair, as long as it's occassionaly, and you still love your curly hair. And you don't fry it.
2. I can be heard to say "agh! I hate my hair!". But this is only because it's getting frizzy...exams are taking my attention away from important things. Like my hair.
So...in the theme of my confessions...Tips!
Straightening:
*Use lots and lots and lots of straightening balm, and heat protection stuff.
*Even though brushing your hair while curly is a sin, you must brush it a lot when you straighten it.
*Bring an umbrella. The tiniest bit of moisture and BAM! Frizz.
*Don't straighten your hair more then once a month.
Summer:
*Wash your hair less. Example: if, like me, you wash your hair every other day, wash it every three days.
*Repeat after me: conditioner is my friend.
*OK: if you're blow-drying your hair, put gel in. If your letting it dry naturally, put in some mousse and scrunch, scrunch, SCRUNCH.

The new curly thing

Whew. I've been gone for a while! But I'm back, and with loads of curly lessons...
1. So, remember I was sooooo anti-combing? Well, I've discovered that if you comb your hair in the shower, with tons of conditioner it makes your hair look great. Just use a wide-toothed comb.
2. Layers are FABULOUS! Trust me.
3. When you're booking a hairdresser, ask for one with experience with curly hair. I've had some of the best haircuts of my life recently 'cause of that.
4. Get over to Lush and get some shampoo and conditioner bars. Then get some coolaulin conditioner. Use them together for sleek, gorgeous hair.
Ta ta, stay curly.

Curly Lessons I Have Learnt

In the last week...
When you put a "curl power" sticker up on your locker, some people think you are sad, and some girls want one.
In the last fortnight...
Honey and conditioner put on dry hair then washed out makes your hair really soft!
In the last six months...
  1. Stop brushing and combing your hair, your hair will become so much more pretty!
  2. Curly hair needs a lot of conditioner.
  3. Only ever get a hairdresser who has curly hair herself.
  4. Curly hair is absolutely GORGEOUS!

In the last year...

Curly hair looks really good layered!

Is there a curly flag?

I'ma curly ambassador! I got a packet this morning. The fact it had NATURALLYCURLY.COM all over it kinda gave it away. Inside I found about twenty business cards, with Curl Ambassador printed on them, then stuff about Naturally Curly, so you can hand them out to people. There was also a 10% discount card for the CurlMart! Cool! And a bumper sticker with curl power! on it. I'm going to put it in my locker. I'm also going to ask if I can pin some cards on the notice board. And hand them out to curly people. So why not be a curly ambassador? It's free, and you might make other people loooove their hair! (And mention me, OK?)

Cool 4 School

God, I forgot to tell you on this blog that I wasn't gonna post for a while!!! Sorry!!!! So, now that I'm back for school, the time is right for...
Hairstyles for curly girls
Wow, snappy title, huh? Now, I've had...some...trouble with my hair in the past. I mean, my hair generally has the consistency of copper wire, and was impossible to get in a ponytail. So, curly girls take note, here's some hairstyles...
Poodle Bunch
Gotta love it. Get two big chunks from either side of your face and tie them on top of your head with a hair tie or to get noticed a sparkly barrette.
Ballerina, baby
OK, when my mom made me do ballet it did not work out. For one thing, I couldn't get my hair into the tight bun my teacher wanted. But, here's a simple style: put your hair into a loose plait then put it in top of your head with barette. (Barettes are a curly girls best friend!)
Alice, you rock
Alice bands are great. Just shove them on your hair and volia, you have a hairstyle!
